Diaphragm wall work in the Surrey

Aiming high

Our experts at Bauer Foundations Canada were contracted to design and construct an excavation pit and foundations for a new nine storey hospital with two levels of underground parking in Surrey British Columbia. The details: Using BAUER’s MC 96 duty cycle cranes with a cable grab and BC 48 trench cutter, 435 linear metres of polymer supported diaphragm wall was installed up to 23 m in depth along with 256 foundation barrettes to a depth of 27.5 m. Team effort: With excellent planning and collaboration, we poured concrete elements for 130 days straight to reach an overall total of 30,000 m3 of concrete and 7,000 tons of steel.
