A luxury housing estate was constructed in an exclusive surrounding on the highest building plot in Schindellegi having a panoramic view onto Lake Zurich and Glarus Alps. In order to cope with the difficult soil conditions in the former disposal area, ground improvement measures involving stone columns were executed. 1,600 columns had to be installed with a diameter of 550 mm and depths of up to 13 m to increase the bearing capacity of the soil.
