BAUER Foundations Canada Inc. was contracted in 2020 by Conwest Contracting to construct a temporary secant pile shoring wall for the for Adera Development’s Pivot Project in North Van- couver at 1550 Oxford Street.

The Bauer team invested significant effort into optimizing the original secant pile wall design, which was intended to be used as a cut-off wall,  considering the proximity to the Burrard Inlet. The finalized design comprised the use of shorter piles within the secant pile wall as a result of the hydrogeological analysis performed to assess the dewatering requirements versus the depth of the excavation.
